- Ensure that all employees are aware of E. coli O157:H7
- Ensure that visitors to the farm wash hands following contact with animals and or animal pens
- Provide disposable boots to all visitors
- Develop and implement a nutrient management program, including adequate manure storage and use of best practices at the time applying manure to fields
- Implement use of licensed on farm interventions to reduce risk as these become available
- Ensure that farm water is properly chlorinated and regularly tested to validate "potable" status
- Provide wash room and or adequate hand wash stations at appropriate locations for farm staff
